THIS WAS ONE OF THE DARKESt COMICS I HAVE EVER READ. It starts off with the kids getting their powers like in any show like power rangers, with a dying alien. it's fine until the end where the main character's brother is an alien and a kid gets stuck as a bird AND a kid kills someone and feels remorse. This is a very interesting and good book, so make sure to look for this and its sequels.

While i did like the book, i found it quite bland. I wish they would have looked more into Emily's mindset like firelight did, all in all i would probably read it once for book #9.
